Best Baby Jumpers

Sep 9, 2021

Watch baby get a little air and squeal with joy in these bouncing toys.

There are few things that make babies shriek with joy like jumpers. These seats, attached to elastic straps, let your little one use their toes to push off the ground and get a little air. The result? Huge smiles and a ridiculous amount of laughter. (And maybe even a few minutes to let you get a few things done—while still keeping an eye on the bouncing, of course.)

Jumpers come in two versions:

Doorway jumpers have straps that clamp to the top of the doorway. They take up less space, but can be inconvenient if you need to walk through said doorway on a regular basis. (Tip: If your house has really wide moldings or other unusual features, doorway jumpers might not work with them.)
Freestanding jumpers are all-in-one structure with straps that attach the jumping portion to built-in rods. They can be placed anywhere in the house, but they tend to take up more room.
Both designs require that your child can hold their head upright unassisted, which means you’ll get the most use out of your jumper when your little one is between six months to a year old. And even though watching your kiddo happily bounce around is pretty fun, you’ll want to limit jumper use to about 10 to 15 minutes per day; more time than that will put undue stress on your little one’s joints and delay the natural development like core strength and motor development that occurs when your baby simply plays on the floor. (If you’ve maxed out your daily jump time but still need a safe place for baby to play, try a playard, a play mat, or an activity gym.)

Easy to install, a little difficult to assemble the fabric where the baby sits, it is very comfortable and stable due to the 3 straps my baby likes it a lot, the shock absorber is very stable, the only defect it has is that when the baby jumps a lot the spring makes a strange noise, this is due to the white protective plastic but it does not affect its operation or is dangerous, it may be a factory defect, but all good I recommend quality materials.

3.Skip Hop E&M Jumpscape Fold-Away Activity Jumper

Don’t want to stare at a baby jumper in your family room every day? The Jumpscape from Skip Hop folds flat so it’s easy to tuck away when it’s not in use. Baby jumpers are loads of fun, giving pre-walkers the thrill of free movement as they catch a bit of air and develop leg muscles. This one is self-contained with its own floor stand—there’s nothing to hang from doorway, and it folds flat for storage or transport between jumps (there’s a strap to secure it in the folded position). The spring capsules reveal additional fun colors as your baby jumps, and a light-up counter tracks your baby’s jumps, with lights, music and applause at 100-jump marks. The seat rotates 360 degrees, so your baby can swivel in all directions. Sitting is an option, too, and the jumper has plenty of toys to capture your baby’s attention when they’re not jumping. A push-button produces four different sound effects, and there are swaying trees, jumping jacks, a spinning bee that rattles and wobbles, a hedgehog mirror with tambourines on each side and leaf-shaped teethers. The toys clip on, so you can take them off or move them around for customized play. A parent reminder goes off at 10 or 20 minutes, reminding you to take your baby out of the jumper (20 minutes is the recommended max, so that your baby is sure to develop other muscles and skills through tummy time and other play.

Really good but takes up space! A multitude of games force the baby to move. A turtle with sounds and colors, a book that makes noise by touching it, a hanging fish, a crab in a ball with marbles, a star with a mirror, in short, something to play for a while and you can hang up other games thanks to the blue suspensions. Not to mention the seat that turns and allows the child to jump. The seat is good and solid and you can adjust my seat height. Well, the article is a bit heavy but quite easy to disassemble.

Wishing that my opinion seemed to you quite useful and that it helps you in your choice!

It's very well made, much safer & portable than a door bouncer as they can be in the room with you & you don't have to worry about them hitting the door frame. Yes the clips are stiff at first but that's because they are a good safe quality & not flimsy, you will get used to putting them in & out. I would recommend you measure your room space as the frame is larger than it looks in picture. Would advise any parent to get one baby loves it.
